Designer Prabalgurung First Taste American Style Success

Designer PrabalGurung said he was the first designer to feel the American Dream: as a Nepalese designer, he is now fortunate to design the clothing for the first lady, Michelle Obama.

Many fashion magazines began praising his works constantly, and the stars were rushing to telephone to rent clothes. The number of orders was increasing, and his show in New York fashion week next month became popular.

Life is really wonderful for him.

Gurung started painting all kinds of costumes from childhood. When he was a child, he left Nepal to India, where he learned many design skills as an apprentice.

Then he went to Australia and London to work as a stylist.

He came to New York's Parsons The New School for Design to learn, practice in Donna Karan and Cynthia Rowley, and eventually became the design director of the Bill brand.

He has consistently praised the work ethic and morality of American style, where efforts and opportunities coexist.

Now Gurung has its own office in Garment District. He is also the finalist of Vogue Fashion Fund. If it wins, it will receive a sponsorship of $200 thousand.

He said he kept on fighting because he watched the Oprah program. Now he is the best witness to realize the American dream.

He also thanked Ms. Michelle Obama if she had not chosen to wear her own design, she would not have achieved great success today.
