The leaders of many large commercial enterprises, such as shopping malls and modern shopping centers, said that "low carbon consumption" gradually led consumers to buy clothes, and at the same time led to the continued rapid growth of clothing consumption in the second half of this year.
According to the data released yesterday by the Beijing Municipal Commerce Commission, the retail sales of clothing products in Beijing reached 26 billion 780 million yuan from 1 to June this year, an increase of 13.7% over the same period last year.
At the same time, the consumption expenditure of Beijing residents for clothing is higher than that of other commodities, which increased by 13.9% over the first half of last year, 3 percentage points higher than that of the same period.
According to statistics, at present, Beijing residents spend about 11% of their daily expenses on "wear".
"Nationally speaking, Beijing residents are more concerned about clothing brand and texture, so the high-end clothing market is relatively mature."
Kuang Zhenxing, vice president of contemporary shopping mall, said the survey shows that "purity" will become the most popular keyword in the second half of this year. "Pure cotton, pure hemp, pure silk and other pure natural materials will become the first choice for low carbon textiles."

The consciousness of "Bi" is gradually forming.
"A good quality clothing is calculated at a price of 1000 yuan. If consumers buy it back, if they wear 100 times, the price of a single consumption will be 10 yuan; and some forty or fifty yuan and one piece of goods will be taken away by consumers once washed, and the latter's consumption price is not as good as the former."
The reporter understands, it is precisely because of the market characteristics of clothing consumption brand and high-end market in this city, Beijing merchants also avoid excessive losses due to the "no spring" climate in the first half of this year.
"A lot of big brands are sold throughout the country, and they can achieve regional adjustment in time. Part of the backlog of spring clothes goes to the second and three tier city stores, and it can still be a best seller this autumn."
