Shenzhen Some Children'S Clothing Spot Checks Ph Value Is Not Qualified

Guangdong Shenzhen city market supervision and administration announced that the production and sale of children's clothing supervision and spot checks results of some children's clothing pH value projects failed.

Recently, the market supervision and Administration Bureau of Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province announced the results of the quality supervision and inspection of children's clothing produced and sold in the second quarter of this year. A total of 91 batches of products produced by 60 enterprises were selected and 67 batches were qualified. The pass rate was 73.63%. The main unqualified items were fiber content, pH value and color fastness.

The main quality problems found in the spot checks are as follows:

14 batches of samples failed to qualify for fiber content.

The content of fiber reflects the real property of the product, which is the main reference content for consumers to buy clothing products. Therefore, the correct content of ingredients directly affects the interests of consumers.

6 batches of samples pH value items are not qualified.

The pH value is the safety index of textiles. The pH value of human skin surface is weakly acidic. If the pH value exceeds the standard, it will destroy the barrier of human body surface to resist disease, and easily cause skin itch and other inflammation.

The color fastness items of the two batches of samples were not qualified.

Dye fastness is not a toxic factor in itself, but dyes should be permanently fixed on the fabric. If pferred to human skin, it will cause harm to the human body.

When the clothes with poor color fastness are exposed to water, sweat or saliva, the pigments are easy to fall off, fade and affect the appearance, and dye molecules and heavy metal ions in the pigment may be absorbed by the skin and harm health.

In addition, 9 batches of samples were not qualified.

In view of the main quality problems found in the supervision and spot checks in the production field, the Shenzhen municipal market supervision bureau has processed the unqualified production enterprises in accordance with the law and handled them in a timely manner.

In view of the quality problems found in the quality control of the circulation field, the Bureau has launched a special inspection operation to clear up the unqualified products with the above quality problems and deal with the business units according to law.
