According to the statistics of Fujian inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the export inspection and printing and dyeing products increased by 80% in the first half of the year, which is 2.25 times the same period in 2008. The increase in June was even bigger, which was 1.026 times higher than that of last year, and the increase was obviously higher than the average export increase in the first half year.

At present, most printing and dyeing enterprises are in full load or even overload. For example, the Shishi company, whose production capacity is 3 million yards per month, has increased its monthly production capacity to 5 million yards. But even so, many printing and dyeing enterprises can only guarantee the order of old customers, and even appear before payment of foreign goods. Some enterprises believe that the peak production period from the beginning of the year is expected to last until September this year, the longest production season in recent years. It is reported that because of Shanghai World Expo and Guangzhou Asian Games, the dyeing and finishing enterprises in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Guangdong are restricted production, and many other provinces have spanferred to Fujian alone. Some foreign businessmen worry about the advance of exchange rate changes, especially in the past two months.

But though the production is overloaded, it does not mean that the knitting mill will earn enough money. Insiders said that labor costs rose by about 15% this year, and the cost of dyestuff materials also increased by 15% to 20%. The profit margins of single ton dyeing and finishing were very limited, and the amount of processing enterprises with loose management and low technology content might be working for others.
