India held a Textile Fair in Cairo, Egypt, to display India's textiles and fabrics to promote economic and cultural ties between the two countries.

Egyptian Investment minister Yasser al-Kadi attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition in July 4th.

Ganesh Kumar Gupta, President of the synthetic rayon Export Promotion Association, said that Egypt is the ninth largest market for handmade textiles and yarns in India.

27 excellent India companies participated in the exhibition and exhibited their products at the fair.
