    The Ontario (Ontario) provincial government began to merge the original 8% Provincial Sales Tax (PST) and the 5% federal cargo service tax (Goods Services Tax) for the unified tax system Harmonized Sales Sales (July 1st).

    In addition, if the order agreement signed before the implementation of the new tax system is fulfilled in advance in July 1, 2010, there will be no need to pay the new tax difference between the newspaper and magazine subscription, the return ticket and funeral service after the implementation of the new tax system.


    The Ontario government provides a one-off subsidy to the residents of the river because of the economic losses caused by the new tax system.

    Families who earn less than 160 thousand yuan a year can receive a $1000 allowance. Singletons earning less than 80 thousand yuan will receive an allowance of $300 under the same plan.

    The subsidy will be issued in three cheques, and will be sent within 12 months after the entry into force of the new tax system.
