Nike Holds The International Basketball Carnival With The US Men'S Basketball Team.

The international basketball Carnival will be held in from August 12th to 15th to showcase Nike's leading basketball.

The international basketball carnival is a unique large-scale event, from the 2010 United States National Basketball Team Players' fierce battle to the Times Square concert of famous music ginseng, and the weekend finals of four world's top teams in Madison Square Garden.

"The international basketball Carnival will be a great event for the basketball fans of New York and around the world," said Charlie Danson, President of Nike brand. "We plan to celebrate the sport every two years with the whole basketball community as a long lasting tradition."

The international basketball Carnival will begin in Times Square in August 12th, and will be pferred to Rock Park, the famous basketball court in Harlem Yu District, New York, on August 13th (Friday) and 14 (Saturday).

Then, at the Rock park open ground, Brazil and Puerto Rico National teams will practice and compete. The French national team will train during this period, interspersing the excellent performances of the top international music artists, and will also hold the championship competition for New York's top junior summer Basketball League.

Fans will also be invited to participate in training camps to improve basketball training level and skills.

The activities in Rock park will last two days. The celebration of August 14th (Saturday) will bring the event to a climax.

Details will be released a few days before the start of the event.

International Basketball

The two performances will serve as the team's warm-up match before the 2010 FIBA World Basketball Championships, which will be held in Turkey from August 28th to September 12th.

"We are very honored to have the opportunity to represent the United States in the FIBA World Basketball Championships, and the international basketball carnival is the best opportunity for our team to warm up."

Nike will use the opportunity of the international basketball carnival for the first time to launch the "UnitedWeRise" plan, hoping to promote community development through basketball.

In the next two years, Nike will cooperate with the American Basketball Association and the New York municipal government, especially the New York youth and Community Development Bureau and the New York Housing Bureau to support the youth development plan of the 25 community centers in New York, and to build and pform the basketball courts in these communities.

"Through pilot projects in 25 community centres in New York, Nike and other partners will create a brand new and sustainable development model and extend this model to other communities in the future," added Mr Sen.

Nike has promised that all the venues used during the international basketball Carnival will be properly used, including the hardwood courts used in Times Square and Rock Park, and will also be donated to the venues that New York needs.
