Cai Fang, director of the Institute of Population and Labor Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said in an interview with our reporter at the press conference of the "China Social Sciences Forum" yesterday, For solving the problem of income distribution, he tends to start from the initial distribution.

Zheng Gongcheng, a professor of Renmin University of China, said in an interview with our reporter that income distribution reform should strengthen redistribution. "The narrowing of the urban-rural income gap is mainly solved by the flow of urban and rural population. Without statistics, there is no way to judge the change of the urban-rural income gap." Cai Fang said that to find the factors and ways to really narrow the urban-rural gap, we should take the reform of the household registration system as a breakthrough.
