ISO/TC&Nbsp; 38/SC&Nbsp; 2 International Secretariat Settled In China Textile Institute

　　日前，經國際標準化組織(ISO)批準，ISO/TC 38/SC 2國際秘書處正式落戶中國紡織科學研究院。

ISO/TC 38/SC 2 is a sub Technical Committee on textile washing, finishing and water repellent. Its secretariat has been working in the United States for a long time. In 2009, the United States proposed that it would no longer undertake the work of SC 2 Secretariat.

Therefore, the National Standardization Management Committee (SAC) submitted to ISO the application for the work of the Secretariat, and after the vote of the ISO/TC 38 member countries and further consultation, it was officially confirmed that China Institute of standardization of the Institute of textile science was responsible for the work of the ISO/TC 38/SC 2 International Secretariat.

In 1979, the Chinese Academy of textile science was designated as the domestic counterpart of ISO/TC 38, and specialized agencies were set up to carry out the centralized management of international standards and continue to take part in the basic activities of ISO, and have been active member countries.

In order to do a good job in the ISO/TC 38/SC 2 International Secretariat, the engineers of the Institute of standardization have designated the Secretariat to be responsible for the work of the Secretariat and sent them to Geneva to attend the business training of ISO headquarters, which mainly involves the Secretariat's working procedures, eServices usage, international standard template and drafting.

At present, the Secretariat has begun the handover work.

The Institute of standardization of the Chinese Academy of textile science has undertaken the work of ISO/TC 38/SC 2 International Secretariat, which has provided more favorable conditions for China's textile industry to participate in international standardization work.

Through the platform of the Secretariat, it is helpful to further strengthen communication and exchanges with ISO member states. This is of great significance for our country to really understand the development and revision of the international standard of textile industry from the source, grasp the development trend of the international standard of textile industry, enhance the influence of textile products in the field of international standardization, and enhance the competitiveness of China's textile products in international trade.
