Tanzania Leather Experts Lack Material Exports At Low Prices

The Ministry of trade and industry in Tanzania revived the vocational training center in the city of M. Wan, and pferred it to the Ministry of communications and science and technology.

Florence Luca, Minister of communications and science and technology, said there are many domestic experts in the leather industry.

Therefore, the government has adopted the decision of the Renaissance training centre to train more experts in this field.

The training plan will be associated with the Dar Es Salaam Institute of technology.

Shaaban Ramadan, Vice Minister of trade, industry and distribution, said the move would help to sign more candidates and serve the interests of industry and the state.

In addition, the lack of leather technology experts slowly led to the export of raw materials made in China at very low prices.

After purchasing these raw materials, foreign countries are converted into value-added products and exported to Tanzania.

Because the state has spent a lot of money on training leather technology overseas, the Ministry of communications and technology expects that the revival of the training center will help solve the problems that experts lack.

Although the leather training center was established by the government in 1984, the lack of candidates resulted from various problems, including finance.

It was then pferred to a local investor, ElibarikiMmari, in 1996. Since then, the company has used the center to create products.
