In September 2004, with the help and support of the school leaders and the Shanghai Municipal Economic Commission and the Xuhui District government, the Institute established the first talent training base for industry, education and research combined with the pformation of old factories, and the creative industry and talent gathering area supported by the discipline and professional background of Universities and Academy of Fine Arts. It included three research centers and two design centers (including the Italy design center of Sino Italian cooperation), a creative business incubator for students.

In order to get out of a new situation, we have successfully explored the way to cultivate talents in the design and creative industries. The park has been listed as the first batch of creative industries in Shanghai by the Shanghai economic and Trade Commission, and has been listed as a creative industry park supported by the Xuhui District government.
