Jinjiang shoe fair was founded in 1999. After 12 years of development, it has developed into the "vane" of the footwear industry. It has been rated as one of the "ten great charm exhibitions in China" by the industry. In order to strengthen cross-strait economic and trade exchanges and cooperation, the eighth Jinjiang shoe fair in 2006 set up the "Taiwan Pavilion" for the first time, and has evolved into a stage for the exchange and cooperation of footwear industry across the Taiwan Strait.

On the morning of 19, the shoe fair "Jinjiang investment and science and technology innovation project signing ceremony", signed 5 New Taiwanese investment projects, of which the contract utilized US $285 million, which accounted for more than 60% of the total number of contracted foreign investment contracts.

Lin Zhaojie, director of the footwear industry association of Taiwan, who attended the shoe fair, said: "the shoe machine industry in Taiwan is one of the earliest and most profitable industries to enter the mainland. Fujian Jinjiang is the earliest area of Taiwan's shoe machine landing."

Lin Zhaojie pointed out that although the rising trend of labor and raw material costs has been obvious in recent years, the mainland's manufacturing industry started early, with a high degree of scale and a complete industrial chain. Compared with Southeast Asia and other emerging manufacturing bases, the mainland can maintain at least 10 years of leading edge.
