The school of art engineering has four undergraduate majors: art design, animation, broadcasting and hosting, and electronic information engineering.

Among them, the art design major consists of three professional directions: fashion art design, advertising art design and environmental art design.

Four undergraduate professional school systems are four years, respectively, literature and Engineering Bachelor's degree.

On the basis of strengthening teaching reform and broadening professional caliber, the Institute adheres to the combination of art and engineering, and integrates humanities and natural science, forming distinct advantages and characteristics of undergraduate professional development. The specialty of art design is a provincial-level famous brand in Shaanxi Province, and the animation specialty is a provincial-level characteristic specialty in Shaanxi province.

All majors are enrolled in postgraduates and foreign students.

Now there are 2400 students in the school, and the employment rate of graduates has remained above 90.

There are 60 teachers in the college.

Among them, 10 professors, 6 associate professors, 30 lecturers, 1 doctoral tutors, 10 master's tutors, and 80 doctorate and master teachers, and Professor Xu Qingqing is a famous teacher at the provincial level.

The teaching team of the "3+1" talent training mode was selected as the provincial teaching team in Shaanxi province.

The college has fully implemented the party's educational policy, and always insisted that personnel training is the fundamental task of the college, teaching is the central work of the college, and quality is the lifeblood of the college.

For many years, we have accumulated many years' experience in running schools. We have formed a school running concept of seeking survival through teaching quality, developing with the characteristics of running schools, activating the forces of reform and innovation, building strength with the construction of teaching staff, and promoting harmony with people based care.

We should creatively implement the "3+1" talent training mode for art students, establish 52 "3+1" professional practice bases both inside and outside the school, persist in combining theory with practice, and strive to cultivate four new talents with ideals, morality, culture and discipline, and strive to improve students' learning ability, innovation ability, communication ability and social adaptability.

Over the past few years, this large-scale teaching reform has achieved remarkable results and won the first prize of provincial excellent teaching achievements in Shaanxi.

In the 2007 undergraduate teaching evaluation, the Ministry of education evaluation experts highly praised the teaching and teaching management of the Institute of art and engineering.

According to the FE index, the main clothing media of the country has been ranked in the ten famous fashion colleges in the eight consecutive years since 2001. It has also been awarded the top ten institutions of education in 2007. In 2009, it won the first prize in the teaching achievement of Textile Universities in China Textile Industry Association.

The college attaches importance to scientific research and textbook construction.

In recent years, it has undertaken 26 provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects, and 23 have passed the acceptance and appraisal. Among them, the "clothing design information network development and application" has been identified as "leading in the country".

In the past few years, 31 books have been published, including 1 national "Ten Five" teaching materials, 6 ministerial level "Ten Five" teaching materials, 4 of Shaanxi's twenty-first Century higher education art professional planning materials, and 3 of the China Animation society "Ten Five" planning material, and another part of the Ministry of "eleven five" planning textbooks.

The college attaches importance to academic exchanges with other countries and has established extensive contacts with universities and organizations such as the United States, Japan and Hongkong. Experts from the Japan White Horse International Art Association have donated seventy thousand yuan to our college during their visit and lectures.

Our college students and 16 Japanese university students have conducted "academic exchange Symposium on urban planning and design between Chinese and Japanese students".

The Institute strongly guides and encourages students to innovate and create, taking national and industry competitions as an opportunity to encourage and support students' active participation.

The Institute has 17 thousand square meters teaching and scientific research building, and the "art practice teaching center" is the provincial experimental teaching demonstration center of Shaanxi province.
