PRADA Launches Limited Expo Products
2010 Shanghai World Expo will be held in Shanghai from May 1st to October 31st this year. This economic, technological and cultural exchange event featuring "Better City, better life" will attract 70 million visitors from more than 200 countries. Prada's Expo limited series combines the iconic urban image of Shanghai and the natural symbols of Pudong, including butterflies, flowers and green leaves. It interprets the modern vision of Prada, the "future city".
Hooded zipper jerseys and other major urban costumes are designed with gray, blue, purple and orange gradients, like lightning flashing across the night sky. A series of key ring ornaments that are worth collecting are printed with Oriental Pearl Tower symbolizing the urban landscape, symbolizing the natural flowers and green leaves, and equipped with the classic logo of Prada.
The Shopping handbag outlines the skyline of Pudong with luxuriant leaves. The other is decorated with four colors of gardens, inspired by four different scenes of the city: sunset, sunrise, storm and sunny days. Women's sandals and ballet flat shoes are designed for travellers crossing urban streets. They are decorated with flowers and leaves, magnifying nature in subtle ways.
