The overall improvement of urban air quality.

The air quality of prefecture level and above cities accounted for 2.4% of the national standard, 58.1% of the two grade standard, 36.1% of the three grade standard, 3.4% of the three grade standard.

The average annual concentration of particulate matter reached two level in 72% of the cities, and 2.2% in the three grade standard.

Solid waste emissions have decreased slightly.

The total output of industrial solid waste in the country was 1 billion 757 million 670 thousand tons, an increase of 16% over the previous year, and the emission volume was 11 million 970 thousand tons, a decrease of 8.1% over the previous year. The comprehensive utilization, storage and disposal accounted for 62.8%, 13.7% and 23.5% of the output respectively.

The amount of hazardous waste generated is 10 million 790 thousand tons, and the comprehensive utilization, storage and disposal amount are 6 million 500 thousand tons, 1 million 540 thousand tons and 3 million 460 thousand tons respectively.

The nature reserves are developing steadily.

There are 19 new national nature reserves in the country.

In the 407 sections of 197 rivers, the ratios of water quality of class I, III, IV, V and grade V were 49.9%, 26.5% and 23.6% respectively.
