Taiwan Revitalize Bamboo Fiber Industry And Introduce Japanese Technology

According to the industrial and commercial times of Taiwan, bamboo charcoal is a new material for healthy health, and has been developed and produced in Japan for 10 years. Among them, bamboo charcoal has many advantages such as moisture-proof, deodorizing, fresh-keeping, purifying water quality, far-infrared rays and shielding electromagnetic waves. It is regarded as the most potential new material for environmental protection and health in twenty-first Century.

The area of bamboo forest in Taiwan is nearly 150 thousand hectares, which covers 7% of the forest land, and there are 85 species.

In the 6-70 century, bamboo processing industry helped a lot in the development of bamboo farmers' economy.

Since 80s, a large number of substitutes have replaced bamboo, and domestic production costs such as wages and land have increased sharply, resulting in the gradual deterioration and decline of domestic bamboo processing industry, which indirectly affects the development and prosperity of rural economy.

Unfortunately, bamboo forest industry was hit hard by the 921 major earthquakes in 99 years, and bamboo and forest industry is the most important city in Nantou County. The most serious areas are Zhushan and Ji Ji. In order to rebuild the disaster area and recover the industries in the disaster area, the agriculture committee has formulated the "bamboo industry pformation and revitalization plan" under the direction of the "921 reconstruction meeting" of the Executive Yuan, so as to guide the domestic bamboo forest industry in order to increase the added value of bamboo forests and the competitiveness of bamboo industry.

Hong Huisong, director of the textile department of the Ministry of industry and industry, said that the forest trial started with the "bamboo industry pformation and revitalization plan" in August 2002, and invited the Japanese bamboo charcoal expert bird Yu Yu Tai Tai to direct the construction of the charcoal kiln and the firing of bamboo charcoal.

Dr. Huang Guoxiong, a researcher at the forest Testing Institute, known as Taiwan bamboo charcoal, went to Japan for a week to go to the bamboo charcoal kiln at bird's feather to study the technology of bamboo charcoal firing.

By the end of 2007, more than 10 blocks of charcoal kiln have been built for the Tai Po Township peasant association, Nantou County Zhushan Town bamboo forest production cooperative and Textile Institute, etc., and have instruct these cooperative units to produce bamboo charcoal and bamboo vinegar with excellent quality, which will enhance the utilization value of domestic bamboo and revitalize the domestic bamboo forest industry, and ensure the sustainable operation of Taiwan bamboo charcoal industry.
