China Footwear Standardization Technical Committee Was Established In Beijing

In June 5, 2008, the national footwear Standardization Technical Committee was set up and a working conference was held at Rosedale Hotel & Suites. Representatives from government departments, associations and enterprises gathered in various industrial sectors all over the country gathered together to offer suggestions for the development of standardization of footwear industry in China.

Wang Zhentao, President of AOKANG group, was elected vice chairman of the Committee. He was the only vice chairman of the leather shoes industry in China. He also made a speech at the founding meeting.

At the meeting, Zhang Shuhua, chairman of the national footwear Standardization Technical Committee, delivered a speech entitled "pioneering and innovating, forging ahead and promoting the standardization of shoemaking".

She pointed out that the establishment of the shoe licensing committee is a milestone in the footwear industry.

Its establishment has set up a high level platform for overall planning, coordination, communication and cooperation for the standardization of shoemaking. The footwear licensing committee will give full play to the technical support role of footwear standardization in China's footwear industry, enhance the development level of footwear standardization in China, and realize the leap forward development of footwear standardization.

Zhang Shuhua said that the standardization work principles of China footwear Standardization Technical Committee are: to adapt to the market, to serve enterprises, to strengthen management, and to integrate with the international market.

President Wang Zhentao said in his speech that standardization is a guideline for trade between domestic and international industries, and also a bridge for our enterprises to move from the domestic market to the international market.

The standardization construction of enterprises is the need of product upgrading, the need of brand promotion, and the need of market promotion.

At the meeting, the leaders and representatives of the election elected Zhang Shuhua, chairman of the China Leather Association.

Background:

The establishment process of footwear Committee

Under the guidance and management of the former National Bureau of standards, the national footwear Standardization Center was established in 1980.

At the end of 80s, we sought to set up the National Technical Committee for the standardization of shoes making, but for various reasons, we failed to fulfill our expectations.

The standardization work in twenty-first Century has received unprecedented attention.

At the end of 2005, according to the document of the national standard committee, the notice on the collection and establishment of the new National Professional Standardization Technical Committee, the technical committee and the working group, and the 135 National Technical Committee for standardization of the national spices Standardization Technical Committee, the Chinese leather and footwear industry research institute, with the support of the China Leather Association, plans to set up the national footwear Standardization Technical Committee.

After extensive public solicitation and careful screening, relevant information on the proposed footwear Committee was submitted to the Federation of light industry and the GB in April 2006.

In April 2008, according to the comprehensive letter of the GB [2008] No. 29, "the letter of approval of the establishment of the national footwear Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC305)" and the China Light Industry Federation Light Alliance comprehensive [2008] 071 document, on the forwarding of "letter of ratification of the establishment of the national footwear Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC305)" letter, the footwear Committee was established.
